Privacy Policy
We collect as little as possible. The cycle information you enter is stored in your account only because you ask us to, so you can use Lunatwin on any device and share it with your partner if you choose. You can stop sharing and delete everything at any time.
Who we are
Lunatwin is provided by Inora AS, organisation number 837 597 102, Spelhaugen 12, 5147 Fyllingsdalen, Norway (“we”). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@lunatwin.app.
What we process
- Cycle data you enter: period dates, cycle and period length, use of hormonal contraception, an optional name, how the day feels (mood) and, if you follow your own cycle, what you need that day. This is information about health. It is kept on your device and, when you have an account, in your account so it follows you to every device. We only store it with your explicit consent, which you give when you create your account. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Delete account.
- Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password. We use them to sign you in, to send sign-up codes and password links, and to link your subscription. We also send a welcome email and one email with tips a few days later; every such email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Invitations: if you join through another user’s invite link, we note who invited you, so they can get one month free when you start paying. They only see how many have joined and how many pay, never who.
- Private notes: if you write a note for a day, it is stored like your cycle data, on your device and, when you have an account, in your account. Notes are only for you: they are never shown to your partner, also when your accounts are connected.
- Today’s game: when you are connected, your answer in the daily game for two is stored until the next day’s game, so your partner can see it once you have both answered. We also note on which days you both played, for the streak.
- Connection between two accounts: if you connect with your partner, we store which accounts are connected and who follows whose cycle (see “Sharing with your partner”).
- Notifications: if you turn on morning notifications, we store the address your device gives us for notifications, your time zone and language, so we can send them at the right time. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store your Stripe customer ID and the status of your subscription.
- Usage counts: we count visits and a few steps in the app (for example “account created” or “subscription started”) with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, doesn’t follow you to other sites and never includes anything about the cycle.
- When you use the app: when you are signed in, we note when you last opened Lunatwin, on which kind of device (browser, iPhone or Android) and on which days, for the last 60 days. We also count how many cards you have drawn. We use this to see how often Lunatwin is used and to improve it.
- What the owners of Lunatwin can see: to run the service and help you, the owners can see each account’s email, subscription, whether it is connected to a partner, and when the app was last used. Never anyone’s cycle, mood, needs or notes.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.
Sharing with your partner
Lunatwin can be used in two ways: by someone following their own cycle, or by a partner following someone else’s cycle. Sharing only happens when you choose it:
- Connected accounts. When two accounts are connected, the partner can see the period dates, the cycle and period length, and what the person whose cycle it is chooses to share for the day (mood and needs). The partner can also log a period start in that cycle. Both of you can disconnect at any time in Settings, and sharing stops immediately.
- Partner link without an account. A partner can send a private link that lets the other person see the current cycle day and next expected period, and log when her period starts, without creating an account. Anyone who has the link can do this, so only share it with your partner. You can make a new link at any time in Settings, and the old one stops working.
Information about your partner
If you use Lunatwin to follow your partner’s cycle, the information you enter is about her. Tell her you use Lunatwin and what you enter, and only use it with her knowledge. She has the same rights to that information as you have to your own, and she can ask us at any time to see or delete it.
Legal basis
Account, subscription, notifications and connections between accounts: to provide the service you have asked for (contract). Cycle data stored in your account and shared with a connected partner: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Accounting records: legal obligation.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase (sign-in and database), hosted in the EU (Ireland).
- Vercel (hosting of the app and its server functions; server functions run in the EU).
- Resend (delivery of sign-up codes and password emails), EU region.
- Stripe (payments).
- Apple, Google and Mozilla deliver notifications to your device if you turn them on. The content is encrypted on the way.
Where a provider transfers data outside the EEA, this is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Account data, the cycle data and the notes in your account are kept until you delete your account. When you disconnect from your partner, the connection is removed right away. Payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can see, export, correct and delete your data. In the app: Settings → Save a backup exports everything, and Settings → Delete account deletes your account and its cycle data, ends any connection and cancels your subscription. You can also contact us, and you can complain to your data protection authority (in Norway: Datatilsynet).
Age
Lunatwin is meant for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
